READING:  Psalms 1, 2, 15, 22, 23, 24, 47, 68

TEXTS AND APPLICATION:  There is much in these psalms, but recurrent is the call to holiness:

1:1 How happy is the man who does not follow the advice of the wicked or take the path of sinners or join a group of mockers! 2 Instead, his delight is in the Lord ’s instruction, and he meditates on it day and night

15:1 Lord , who can dwell in Your tent? Who can live on Your holy mountain? 2 The one who lives honestly, practices righteousness, and acknowledges the truth in his heart — 3 who does not slander with his tongue, who does not harm his friend or discredit his neighbor, 4 who despises the one rejected by the Lord but honors those who fear the Lord , who keeps his word whatever the cost

24:3 Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord ? Who may stand in His holy place? 4 The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not set his mind on what is false, and who has not sworn deceitfully.

68:2b  As wax melts before the fire, so the wicked are destroyed before God. 3 But the righteous are glad; they rejoice before God and celebrate with joy.

PRAYER: Please pray that I will walk in righteousness throughout this day.
