An Encouraging Word for Church Leaders for Today

John 16:8-11  And when he comes, he [the Holy Spirit] will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.”

Don’t be stressed today about changing hearts. That’s not your job. Just preach the Word clearly and passionately in the power of the Spirit.

Amen brother. Struggling with this as I prepare to teach high schoolers this morning. I’m no Ravi, Platt, or Moody so not sure how effective I’ll be. This reminds me it’s not about me and never will be. I just need to trust in the Spirit. Teaching Acts 2 so your post is on point to close with verse 47. The Lord will build it I just need to let the Spirit lay the foundation through me. Thanks again Dr. Lawless. Much appreciated.

Amen to that for sure. I have run smack into walls of hardened hearts at times, some even seem to want to provoke the teacher who has been freed from condemnation. Great advice, I’m sure I will be turning to it often.
