11/26/22 How Shall They Hear?

READING: Romans 8:18-10:21

The process is clear. So is our responsibility as believers.

The process? Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. That cannot happen, though, unless they first believe in Him. At the same time, no one can believe in Him unless they’ve first heard about Him—and they cannot hear about Him unless someone is talking about Him. And, no one preaches about Jesus unless God sends him.

Our responsibility? To proclaim the good news of Jesus to all creation. All of us are to be God’s witnesses. We announce the gospel because God has called us to do so; someone then hears about Him, believes, and calls on His name. This day, though, more than 4 billion people around the world still have had little opportunity to hear the story. The deep longing of our heart should be that they would be saved—and the response of our lives must be, “Lord, I’ll follow You wherever You call me to go so others might know You.”

PERSONAL REFLECTION: What are you doing to get the gospel to the nations?

DAILY PRAYER: “Father, grant me opportunity and courage to tell the good news to someone today.”

TOMORROW’S READING: Romans 11:1-14:23
