READING: Psalms 50, 53, 60, 75
TEXTS AND APPLICATION:
These psalms often deal with the fate of those who reject God:
50:22 Understand this, you who forget God, or I will tear you apart, and there will be no one to rescue you.
53:5 Then they [those who fight against the people of God] will be filled with terror — terror like no other — because God will scatter the bones of those who besiege you.
At the same time, we are reminded that we can turn to God:
50:15 "Call on Me in a day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you will honor Me.”
60:5 Save with Your right hand, and answer me so that those You love may be rescued.
PRAYER: Please pray that I will always turn to God — that I will show my love for Him not by my religious activities, but by my obedience.
