READING: Psalms 65, 66, 67, 69, 70
TEXTS AND APPLICATION: Though these psalms cover different topics, prayer is a recurrent theme:
65:2 All humanity will come to You, the One who hears prayer.
66:16-20 Come and listen, all who fear God, and I will tell what He has done for me. I cried out to Him with my mouth, and praise was on my tongue. If I had been aware of malice in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. However, God has listened; He has paid attention to the sound of my prayer. May God be praised! He has not turned away my prayer or turned His faithful love from me.
69:13, 16 But as for me, Lord, my prayer to You is for a time of favor. In Your abundant, faithful love, God, answer me with Your sure salvation. . . . Answer me, Lord,
for Your faithful love is good; in keeping with Your great compassion, turn to me.
PRAYER: Please pray that I will have no malice, no wrong motives, no unforsaken sin in my heart that would cause God not to listen to my prayers. I want to walk in His favor and invite the nations to Him who answers prayer!
