First, I want to say “thank you” to all the readers who have continued to be faithful in reading my thoughts every day. I look forward to continuing to learn and grow together in the days to come.
There are times, however, when you know you must make a wise adjustment in your schedule—and this is one of those times for me. Beginning tomorrow, April 1, I will be posting three times per week (Tuesday and Thursday topical posts and Sunday’s “Word of Encouragement” post).
To be honest, this decision has been a hard one for me. I don’t like to back off something, but I’m learning (late, perhaps, at age 61) that sometimes less is better as long as the “less” is still focused and relevant. I remain committed to using this site to encourage church leaders, and I hope you’ll continue to receive and read these posts.
Second, I will continue to write a daily devotional, as doing that exercise has been good for my own own soul—and I need this ongoing discipline. If you’re not currently subscribing to these devotions, I invite you to join by signing up on the lower right side of this page.
Please pray for me as I make this adjustment.
Dr. Lawless thank you for your work commitment and dedication to this BLOG. It has been full of most helpful advice to me as I try to pastor my church. It has often been the voice of calm Godly advice in a Information Age of banter, outrage and name-calling. I have to admit that I have not always read your BLOG every day so it seems only reasonable to me that you should adjust your work load to a more manageable level. Of course I know that your main goal is to serve your Lord Jesus and I have no doubt you are resting in the assurance that this adjustment will honor Him no matter what I or anyone else says. Thanks again for your efforts on behalf of the Church and I look forward to to your posts three times a week. Have a blessed day.
Thanks, Phillip, for your kind words.
Thank you so much. You will always be one of my most cherished mentors. I’ll pray for you most every day.
Thank you, my brother.
Dr Lawless thank you for your diligence and wise counsel even in application as you step back. I love this blog I saved each one under a folder named Pastor growth. Keep going strong in the grace of the Lord Jesus. How do I subscribe to your devotional? Have a great day.
Hey, Kevin. There is a place on the lower right side of this page to subscribe .
I have found myself that it is increasingly more difficult to post a daily blog. There comes a time when we realize the best thing thing to do is scale back.
