READING: 1 John 4:7-5:21
On this Christmas Day, perhaps it’s best just to let today’s reading speak to us. The focus is just one verse in the almost two chapters we read today, but it’s packed with truth: “God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his one and only Son into the world so that we might live through him” (1 John 4:9). Indeed, look at all the truths:
- God is.
- He loves us.
- He chose to reveal that love to us.
- He did it by a most unusual way: by sending His Son to us.
- He did it for a most gracious reason: that through Him, you and I have life today.
God came to us so we might be with Him. Merry Christmas, friends!
