READING: 1 Chronicles 10-13
This devotion is about as simple as it gets today. No long explanation of the text. No personal illustrations to help us “see” the text. No quotes from other scholars or practitioners.
Just one text, and it’s a basic one. Just one thought.
In the midst of the stories of David’s taking the throne, we read these words about the source of his power and blessing: “the Lord of Armies was with him” (1 Chron 11:9).
GOD was with him—as He is with us today. Whatever we might face today, that’s really all that matters. It really is.
PERSONAL REFLECTION: Are you living today in the truth that God is with you?
DAILY PRAYER: “God, I am amazed that You are with me this day. Thank You!”
TOMORROW’S READING: 1 Chronicles 14-18
