READING: Psalms 56-67
God has been really good to Pam and me. We don’t lack basic needs; in fact, we have more than we need. I can’t explain God’s blessings—I can only receive them with humility and gratitude.
At the same time, though, I do know what we are to do with what God has given us: we are to honor Him so others might long to know Him, too. That’s essentially what the psalmist said in Psalm 67. God blesses us and shines His face on us so that through us, the peoples would praise Him and the nations would rejoice. He blesses us with harvest so “all the ends of the earth will fear him” (Psa 67:7).
In some ways, we carry the responsibility of a missionary getting the gospel to the ends of the earth. That role demands sacrifice, clarity, holiness, and challenge—but it should be easy for us to do because God has shone His face upon us.
PERSONAL REFLECTION: How blessed are you today?
DAILY PRAYER: “Father, I praise You for Your blessings. Help my church—beginning with me—to long to see You.”
