READING: Isaiah 45-49
Just listen to the Word today:
- “I am the Lord, and there is no other; there is no God but me.” (Isa 45:5)
- “I am the Lord, and there is no other.” (Isa 45:6)
- “‘God is indeed with you, and there is no other; there is no other God.’” (Isa 45:14)
- “I am the Lord, and there is no other.” (Isa 45:18)
- “There is no other God but me, a righteous God and Savior; there is no one except me.” (Isa 45:21)
- “For I am God, and there is no other.” (Isa 45:22)
- “for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and no one is like me.” (Isa 46:9)
- “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you for your benefit, who leads you in the way you should go.” (Isa 48:17)
- “I, the Lord, am your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.” (Isa 49:26)
What do you think? It looks like, among other things, the Lord clearly wanted everyone to know that He is the Lord, and there is no other. He truly is the only one to follow—and that is still the case.
