10/14/23 Saturday Prayer Challenge

Let these words from A. W. Tozer challenge you today:

Nobody has any scriptural rights to teach a Sunday school class who does not do it by prayer. . . .

The teacher always needs to be a praying person. No one ought to seek to counsel others if he is not a praying person. No one ought to serve even in the humblest capacity in any church unless they are a praying person. At least in some degree of regularity, a person who does not practice prayer should never accept a job in any church. Deacons and elders are picked because they are spiritual people, and if they are not praying people, they are not spiritual people. Nobody should ever sit and discuss the church’s affairs with a holy body unless he is a praying man.

I am merely preaching a rule that we can see everywhere we look. Wherever the Church of Christ is found, you have to pray or your service will be wood, hay, and stubble.
