08/26/24 His Wondrous Works

———-

It’s good to remember the Lord’s goodness. Always. Even when life’s tough.

When we think of the Lord’s goodness, we can list so many things. Forgiveness. Mercy. Grace. Love. Food. Health. Dollars. Family. Jobs. Homes. Clothing. Warmth. Rain. Sunshine.

We can think, too, of His majesty. His power. His presence. His sovereignty. His plan. His leading. His patience. I could keep writing both lists and hardly reach the final “number” of things that show God’s goodness. He is simply beyond all that we know or think.

We have much reason to be thankful, and we have many ways we can speak of His wondrous works in our lives (Psa 75:1). Let today be that kind of praise of Him as you begin a new work week. Sing His praises all day long. And, pray that others around the world who have not heard of Jesus will hear through believers who want the name of Christ to be known (Rom 15:20).

PERSONAL REFLECTION: Are you willing to take time today to remember God’s work in your life?

DAILY PRAYER: “I am amazed, God, by Your goodness to us.”

TOMORROW’S READINGS:

One-year plan: Psalms 78, Romans 16

Two-year plan: 1 Samuel 15, Luke 19:11-27
