———-
We who are believers are ambassadors for Christ. That fact means we represent Him before others. We proclaim the Word in His name. We live in such a way that our lives direct others to the One we follow. We take His message to others; in this role, we are ministers of reconciliation announcing to a dying world that “He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Cor 5:21). Indeed, we plead with others to follow Christ.
Why God determined such a plan is beyond my comprehension. I know myself, and I’m certain I’m not worthy of being God’s ambassador. What I know I am, though, is a recipient of God’s grace who wants others to know that grace, too. God has not counted my transgressions against me, and I have reason to announce His goodness. I may not understand it all, but I’m honored to be an ambassador for this gracious God.
PERSONAL REFLECTION: How well do you represent Christ today?
DAILY PRAYER: “God, grant me faith and courage to announce reconciliation through You today.”
