———-
I am fascinated by creation. I developed that passion with the lunar landing of 1969—long before I knew there is a Creator who made it all. Once I became a believer, though, I began to see the creativity of God’s handiwork. Today, I can look into the sky, stare, and see beyond the stars a God who made them all and holds them all in place. His glory simply twinkles out of the heavens. For that reason, it’s easy for me to join the elders in Revelation 4 casting their crowns before the throne and crying out, “Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created” (Rev 4:11).
My love for God, though, goes much deeper because He is not only my Creator, but He is also my Redeemer. Again, the elders of Revelation 5 resound with that praise: “Worthy are You to take the scroll and to break its seals; for You were slaughtered, and You purchased people for God with Your blood from every tribe, language, people, and nation” (Rev 5:9). The One who created me also died for me, and He who died for me has now saved me. How easy it is to cry out, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God” and “Worthy is the Lamb”!
All we can do is bow down and worship as the elders did in Revelation 5:14.
PERSONAL REFLECTION: Have you bowed down to worship Him yet today?
DAILY PRAYER: “Worthy are You, God, to receive blessing and honor.”
