Because of my busyness, I have to operate within good time management principles. Here’s one that has been most helpful to me: do less exciting tasks first. If I do those things first, I can do them when I have more energy and focus than later in the day when I’m weary–and I always have something more exciting to look forward to once I’ve finished the tedious stuff. If I put off the less exciting things, however, I always have them hanging over my head. I’d rather look forward to what’s next than to dread what’s still undone.
At a place I worked at, we called that “eating your frog”.
