06/18/25 Remember His Listening Ears

READING:

One-year plan: Psalms 28-35

Two-year plan: Proverbs 15, 2 Corinthians 8:1-15

———

Today, I want to pray more.

That’s because I’ve read these words from the psalmist today:

  • “Blessed be the Lord, for he has heard the sound of my pleading.” (Psa 28:6)
  • “Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you healed me.” (Psa 30:2)
  • “In my alarm I said, ‘I am cut off from your sight. But you heard the sound of my pleading when I cried to you for help.” (Psa 32:22)
  • “I sought the Lord, and he answered me and rescued me from all my fears.” (Psa 34:4)
  • “This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him from all his troubles.” (Psa 34:6)
  • “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry for help.” (Psa 34:15)
  • “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears . . .” (Psa 34:17)

Why would I not pray when I know that God hears and answers? He is a gracious, listening God.

Beginning right now, seek the Lord throughout this day.

PERSONAL REFLECTION: How strong is your prayer life?

PRAYER: “God, my tongue will proclaim your righteousness, your praise all day long.” (Psa 35:28)
