07/02/25 Singing and Shouting

READING:

One-year plan: Psalms 95-102

Two-year plan: Proverbs 31, Galatians 2

———-

It’s tough to read today’s Bible reading without singing and shouting a bit. Take note of these words, and see where God’s inspired Word takes you:

  • “Come, let’s shout joyfully to the Lord, shout triumphantly to the rock of our salvation!” (Psa 95:1)
  • “Sing a new song to the Lord; let the whole earth sing to the Lord.” (Psa 96:1)
  • “The Lord reigns! Let the earth rejoice; let the many coasts and islands be glad.” (Psa 97:1)
  • “Let the whole earth shout to the Lord; be jubilant, shout for joy, and sing.” (Psa 98:4)
  • “The Lord is great in Zion; he is exalted above all the peoples. Let them praise your great and awe-inspiring name.” (Psa 99:2-3)
  • “Let the whole earth shout triumphantly to the Lord!Serve the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.” (Psa 100:1-2)
  • “I will sing of faithful love and justice; I will sing praise to you, Lord.” (Psa 101:1)

Let the Word grab your heart today, and take some time now to worship the Lord through song. Don’t worry about getting the notes right or impressing your neighbors—just honor the Lord! Amen.

PERSONAL REFLECTION: Are you singing today, or is something keeping you from singing?

PRAYER: “God, I sing to You with great joy.”
