READING:
One-year plan: Numbers 7-8, Mark 7
Two-year plan: Exodus 16, Matthew 20:17-34

Today I am filled with wonder again. Today, I read a text I’ve read many times before, and still it caught my attention. It teaches what I already knew, but I clearly needed to hear it again. Here’s the text from Numbers 7: “When Moses entered the tent of meeting to speak with the Lord, he heard the voice speaking to him from above the mercy seat that was on the ark of the testimony, from between the two cherubim. He spoke to him that way” (v. 89).
Moses was privileged to speak to the God of eternity.
The God of eternity spoke to Moses.
They had a relationship.
It was real. It was potent.
God would use Moses as His spokesperson to His people.
It’s all amazing, actually. None of us is deserving of a conversation with our Creator, yet He offers us mercy, forgiveness, reconciliation, and relationship. And, He chooses to use some of us to shepherd His people. I say it again: it’s amazing.
PERSONAL REFLECTION: Have you had a conversation with God today?
PRAYER: “Almighty God, Your grace overwhelms me.”
