READING:
One-year plan: Leviticus 1-6
Two-year plan: Nehemiah 12, Acts 15:22-41
———-
“And they will be forgiven.” Nine times in today’s reading, the words “will be forgiven” appear (Lev 4:20, 26, 31, 35; 5:10, 13, 16, 18; 6:7). In addition, the words “making him [or “them”] right with the Lord” occur ten times in the same text. When the people of God followed His commands and offered required sacrifices, God would graciously purify them, forgive them, and restore them to a right relationship with Himself. God alone can forgive sins—but, He did then, and He still does.
Guilty people—like you and me—can be forgiven. That’s great news!
In fact, several years ago I wrote a Thanksgiving Day post about the incredible blessings of God’s forgiveness. If you need this reminder today, I hope you’ll find this older post helpful and encouraging to you.
PERSONAL REFLECTION: How much do you think about God’s forgiveness of you?
DAILY PRAYER: “God, You are love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness. I praise You and thank You today.”

Two-year plan: Nehemiah 13, Acts 16:1-15
MEMORIZATION VERSE (Feb 1-15):
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.’” (1 John 1:9)
