07/03/25 Bless the Lord!

READING:

One-year plan: Psalms 103-105

Two-year plan: Ecclesiastes 1-2, Galatians 3:1-18

———

Every time I read Psalm 103, I cannot help but think of Matt Redman’s praise song, “10,000 Reasons” (Bless the Lord, Oh My Soul!).” We have so many, many reasons to bless the Lord, as all of today’s reading reminds us:

  • He forgives all our iniquity
  • He crowns us with love and compassion
  • He is slow to anger and abounding in faithful love
  • He has not dealt with us as our sin deserves
  • He is the great God who has made all things
  • He remembers His promises forever

It is right for us today to remember all the wondrous works that He has done, love Him with all our being, and obey His instructions. Just like yesterday’s devotion showed, we have much reason to sing today! As the psalmist said, “Hallelujah!”

PERSONAL REFLECTION: Have you taken time to bless the Lord today?

PRAYER: “Lord my God, you are very great; you are clothed with majesty and splendor.” (Psa 104:1)

TOMORROW’S READING:

Two-year plan: Ecclesiastes 3-4, Galatians 3:19-29

MEMORIZATION VERSE (July 1-15)
